Hello my friends

I am extremely excited to rather spontaneously launch a project idea I had about 3 years back. These things do take time and sometimes they don't end in a result - but why not try and launcha nd see how far it goes!

As a singer I have been lo-fi recording for some time now and basically I want to make music and record songs (covers for now) with people around the globe in a fun collaboration - virtually!

* WHAT?

"THE SÁILE ONLINE MUSIC PROJECT 2012"
NON-PROFIT MUSIC/ART/VIDEO PROJECT

First of: I am a vocalist and I am in need of musicians who support my next "digital" project.
It is mainly about fun, experimentation and the process of making music and art videos and to collaborate.

So basically I/we (my brother and I) would mix each one's track/instrument recording together with my brother Lutz with whom I have been making music for many years now - he does piano, drums and mixing as well as arrangements. I provide some super-basic violin-action but mainly vocalist/singer.

* WHAT GENRE?

Indie, Jazz, Soul, Pop, Folk - a mix



* HOW?

There is a list of songs that I prepared that I will sing (partly with sheet music and/or tabs) which I plan to work on with you.

Once your names/instruments/music samples are collected, I would assign different tasks/parts to you to record. I would suggest some songs and whatever you are happy with and think you will enjoy and have fun with you can start on.


* WHO?

There is a list of easy and difficult songs that I plan to start with and am looking for musicians of any age/country/gender to participate.

I am seeking guitarists most of all (preferrably versatile - jazz, pop, folk..) and bassists for the main work,
but would love to collabortate with violin-/viola players, harpists, percussion, trumpet, saxophone, medieval instruments... anything goes! You name it.


* WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE PART?

- Microphone
- Recording possibilities, the better the better
- Internet connection to upload & download
- Transcribing ability would be fantastic
- enjoying your instrument and music in general
- have fun accompanying me singing

This will help me to assign different sections and songs to you depending on what you enjoy and love and are good at.


* WHAT WILL IT BECOME?

I would be happy if we could collaboratively record 7 songs and put them together. I'd do art work and promote it and add music/art videos etc. All taken care of.



* WHERE WILL IT BE HEARD/SEEN?

So far I plan to put the songs online at VIMEO and YOUTUBE and anywhere else you think would be applicable.
If you have the possibility to film yourself while recording or to photograph that would help a lot. I am making art videos and music videos for them to promote. Who knows what else happens with them....
