Catch The Wind by SeaFairy Catch The Wind by SeaFairy
When feeling down
When feeling sad

Take a Cloth
and try to catch the wind

It is an older one, taken in Ireland, Carraroe, Summer 2003.
blur in my eyes works beautifully to evoce dynamic and motion. But tastes are different...
Thanks for taking alook.

sag mal, ist es möglich, das als Print hochzuladen? :) Oder ist es zu klein?

fishing for the great air fish. you sweep the sky trying to bring in what is dificult to grasp. there are many things you could use this as a metapore for.. life.... freedome... school... the mindss of the members of the opposite sex.... but she seems to not care that she trys to accomplish the impossible but is content to keep trying.

aaargh, kein Print von diesem Bild? Sehr schade :(

Really nice shot! I love the dress adn the water in the background. I alot of times diffuse images in the darkroom, with plastic. Not every image is right for this kind of stuff but when it works, it WORKS! Just as you did here!:)

Trully beautiful. The game of curves, the light, the blur... and for me this sunny halo is just perfect.
I need more time to look at your gallery... i'll be back again :)

Pure and emotionnal, love it.
B&W always looks better, and the sunlight makes it even more beautiful.

crystyx Featured By Owner May 3, 2004
A really beautiful angle. Its as if we can hear the hollow sounds of the wind when we look at this picture. The blur at your face makes it seem like you're moving with the wind too. There's alot of emphasis to the feeling of the wind here. The B&W adds to that feeling. Great job!
I shall try to catch the wind.

Like the picture. The composision(sp) is well done. Only thing that bothers me is the sun right behind her head. It adds a nice quality to the picture a halo type efect, it just is something I would prefer wasn't there. The fact that you have a well defined figure and details even with the sun where it is, is great. Still like the composision and the title implys a million and one different things. I will enjoy poking around your gallery more.

:faint: Oh my gosh!! I LUV THIS!!!! I luv the beach and this pic is soooooo dreamy
bowlingforrainbows Featured By Owner Mar 10, 2004
:faint: This is so gorgeous. I never thought I'd ever fall so deeply in love with a blurred image but here it is so exciting, so dramatic.
The motion you've captured just sets the image free, and this emotion , of release, of being free just rips right through me.
I can almost see the image moving ... it's unreal, it's like your cloth is truly blowing in the wind right at this very moment.
The image is both intense and liberating.. like I once told you, you're constantly challenging yourself, which makes you that much more exciting and different to most of us. I know this is an older shot, but it just shows how much you've changed, and how you've allowed yourself to continue going in new directions creatively.
I just enjoy all the senses and feelings you've evoked in me with this image so ...

Great Job! :-)

This is an intense romantic feeling that you communicate here. I have a lot say about it, that really talks to me.
First, the blur works so well here, we can feel the woman dancing with the wind.. and these rays of lights just near her head, looks like the scene is taking place at dawn dusk.. Beautiful. I don't know why but you work here makes me think of some quiet super8 mm film.. It have this some of nostalgic and romantic taste of an old film.. i can hear the sound of the projector behind me..:D In another way, makes me also think of Peter Lindbergh works for the "Eternity" Campaign. Maybe its not a compliment for you, but for me it is. We can see in his work, and in his film-direction the same emotions that i describe before. I definitely love this 'image atmosphere'.
Finally, the words fits so well. Souns like a Dylan song. Bu not sung, just murmured...
Congratulations, you have done here definitely an awesome work, you make my day. :+favlove: :+favlove: :+favlove:

... so wonderfully seductive in its elegance and simplicity, this is an image that you should be extremely proud of... the slight tilt of the horizon is prone to set the viewer on edge, and I like this quality a lot...

I think this is one of my new favorites of yours! I get a different feeling here than I usually do from you. There's a kind of recklessness that contrasts with the exquisite control of your work (which I also adore)...I love the black and white, with it's low contrast mixing with the blurring and short depth of field. The sun flare over your shoulder tell me that your mind is still working as elegantly as ever though. This is a really wonderfully intimate image...It's really reaching into me...
