tearful silence... :blackrose:

interesting. I thought this page was supposed to be about someone else's art, not your identity crises people. you're either an artist or an individual... go be self-absorbed elsewhere.

Definitely the funniest comment this week so far!

a) the piece is 2 years old
b) MY "art" is about expression. Go look at Manga or Car-technical-drawings, if you do not want to see art.
c) there is nothing more individual, psychological, deep, personal, intimate and heartfelt than art :) (look at van gogh, at expressionism itself, at caspar david friedrich, at klimt, at ...oh sorry, those are individuals, not artists ;))

Go read wikipedia.org for example:
"The "use" of art from the artist’s standpoint is as a means of expression. When art is conceived as a device, it serves several context and perspective specific functions. From the artist’s perspective it allows one to symbolize complex ideas and emotions in an arbitrary language subject only to the interpretation of the self and peers." ;)

oh and what about

"Art is also used by clinical psychologists as art therapy. The end product is not the principal goal in this case; rather a process of healing, through creative acts, is sought."

also

"Art appeals to human emotions. It can arouse aesthetic or moral feelings, and can be understood as a way of communicating these feelings. Artists have to express themselves so that their public is aroused, but they do not have to do so consciously. Art explores both human emotions and ways to arouse them".

And thanks so much for your time, for visiting, for leaving your thoughts here and for being honest

I must apologize, but not why you think. First, I love your work. Secondly, I meant to respond to a way old set of ridiculous comments negating your work completely. But I'm glad to see that you stand up for yourself, though I wasn't directing the first part of my comment at you. Thanks for kicking my ass! Keep up the awesome work. :)

It's all good. And don't be sorry. If I were insulting me like that, I'd kick my ass too. Of course, then I'd be nuts, but whatever. Your kung fu is pretty good! :)
