The warm fuzziness of the orange inner can be seen as soul and heart of a partner that is everything but perfect, but a warm
place you know is a part of you -in the best case a mirror. so what we can see in the orange part of the piece is mostly our own soul -going through the door would mean to get rid of a part of your own life.
While the outside is full with possibilities, huge chances of finding better places, but it looks cold and the imagination of leaving this warm and lovely place is really hard somehow.
But the essence is: In a really great relationship this is it what counts and what you have captured perfectly: you know you could leave and have all the freedom at anytime, without pressure things can develop and evolve, but being where you feel like home will never make you leave even if there are flaws and chaotic mess and secrets and all that, but trust, respect, acceptance and patience work harmonically against any will towards leaving this characteristic place, but in the little corner of the unconsciousness its simply good to know that if anything really bad would happen you could.
Its rather complex, since you can only understand if you have (or life) in such an adorable kind of relationship...
In this case I would myself never have seen it that way also because I would not necessarily se a "relationship" that way, but it is fantastic when my work provides space for such ideas and feelings and I'm thankful you took your time to share these with me.
