It's definitely an excellent idea, and I love the pastel colours you've used in it. It's very simple and minimalistic too, which really reinforces the message. The clouds and the lighting look completely natural, as do the reflections, but the tree looks kinda odd. The shape of it's great, and using a dead tree instead of the obvious summery tree keeps the colour scheme intact, but the top half looks so unreal because of the colouring of it. And not unreal in a "cool, that's so surreal" way, but in a way that takes you out of the setting and ruins the mood, almost (although not quite; the rest of the picture is too fantastic for it to be completey ruined). The swing doesn't seem tied on properly either, but I guess that's a pretty hard detail to perfect.
Overall though, great job, and fantastic vision.
I'm less touched by manipulated photos, may be I've forget the child in me, or my dreams, but I like this one. Good work on the light and recadring. Feel lonely.
Sorry to be the naked man walking on the sea, who turned back from the swing...
Great job... I went to the park today and played on the equipment with a friend in between shooting photos... it was exactly that-finding the inner child.. it was quite fun! (I'm under 20.... but... yeah, I don't do stuff like that anymore..so it was different for me)..
I love this shot, it is extreamly beautiful and the imagery I get from it is intense. I like the relationship between the water and the swing... It's almost like there is not much time left to capture your childhood before it disappears forever.
For whatever reason...I didn't click on this thumbnail in my +devwatch. I couldn't see the swing in the small thumbnail, was was just like "oh...another DTF from seafairy because she could make anything and get tons of faves - today she stuck a tree in some water" lol...so I didn't look at the actual image. Shame on me! Do you ever submit bad manips? Nope.
Man...glad I did finally click on this though - it's so beautiful...in concept and visually. Great lighting effects...all around the tree and through the swing. I definitely do not like the grainyness to this however - It's just not enough to look intentional, even though you said it was.
For some reason I'm not getting the discriptions with the pix so I'm just trying to guess your visions. I think when I view pix through the VIEW3 MORE DEVIATIONS path the discriptions don't come up but I love this
